Native American Wedding Dress (Native Women's Wedding Dresses) by Native Arts Trading

custom made for your special day
The term "wedding dress" is not really a Native American item. With any tribe, depending on how wealthy your family was, you may or may not have been given a special dress to take with you when you married and that dress was worn for very special ceremonies including the wedding. It was made or given to the bride just like a buffalo robe and the other things that she would need to start her new life with.

When we mention Wedding Dresses on our web site, they are dresses chosen by our clients to wear at their own weddings.

Wedding Dress is based on a traditional Cheyenne design and bead colors - with an influence of Lakota Sioux from the film "Dances with Wolves"
