Hopi Kachinas

The Hopi are the most religious and spiritual tribe in the Southwest.
Their belief in their Gods has sustained them through many hardships over the years.  They have always been a peaceful tribe dedicated to their religious beliefs and their art.  Their basketry, jewelry, and kachinas are known to be the best in their field.  The Hopi have developed a complex religion to secure supernatural assistance in fulfilling their needs.  These supernatural beings are represented in the hand carved Kachina dolls regarded as messengers for the Indian's prayers.  This is not only a religious belief, but also one that encompasses great creative qualities.

There are more than 250 Kachina carvings that possess characteristics
