Headdress / War Bonnet Details

Hand beaded (lazy stitch) brow band. All large feathers are hand wrapped and hand painted with trade cloth/flannel or other material.  The preferred color in the old days was red or yellow   Feathers are decorated with horsehair or breath feathers on tips of feathers. We also utilise clay paints. Each headdress is antiqued to look old (if required).

Handmade hide skullcaps with either rabbit skin or otter, horse hair, ribbon or feather side drops, aged tin cones, hawk bells and dance bells, etc.

Traditional colored hand beaded brow bands (hand beaded - lazy stitched) - not loom beaded.
